Five of the team have been Certified Carbon Literate after successfully completing a construction-focused version of the global Carbon Literacy course.
Carbon literacy is a unique, award-winning course that has been recognised by the UN at COP21 in Paris. The Carbon Literacy Project aims to provide relevant climate change learning to everyone.
Tom, Cheila, Inma, Martyn and Harriet were part of the first cohort in Guernsey for the specialist course which focused on the built environment and construction sector. The course discussed the science of climate change, causes, and solutions, locally and globally.
Tom said: “Learning about climate change and making changes is vital for reducing our carbon emissions. As a business, we’re committed to influencing our clients and colleagues across our industry to make positive changes that will benefit our island.”
