This project set out to reconfigure the ground floor of this family home, replacing a dated, plastic conservatory with a light and open extension, ideal for our client’s busy lifestyle.
Our design concept focused on maximizing natural light and creating a seamless flow. We designed an L-shaped red brick and crittall-glazed extension that complemented the existing house perfectly. The open plan space provided a contemporary kitchen with an island, large dining table and relaxed family sitting area with the outlook across the patio and garden.
Key Architectural Features
- Custom-Built Crittall Doors: Handcrafted Crittall doors were designed to echo the existing arch structures, seamlessly merging the new extension with the original features of the home.
- Bespoke Shaker-Style Kitchen: The heart of the new space is a bespoke shaker-style kitchen, designed by [supplier name], which combines classic aesthetics with modern functionality.
- Large Roof Lights: Expansive roof lights from ‘Roofglaze’ flood the interior with natural light, creating a bright, welcoming environment.
