Jack's Bar @ Moore's Hotel - reviving a classic

We were pleased to work with our client Sarnia Hotels to refurbish the entrance, reception area, rest rooms and Jack’s bar at Moore’s Hotel. Due to the listed status of the building, our design concept preserved the historical integrity and style of the hotel ensuring the upgrades were seamlessly integrated.

Once an underutilised space, Jack’s Bar has been transformed into a vibrant, inviting venue where residents and guests can unwind with a drink. Drawing inspiration from the sophisticated speakeasies of the Prohibition era, the bar now features elegant Art Deco decor.

We worked with main contractor JW Rihoy to manage this refurbishment from design to completion.

Key Architectural Features

  • Contemporary features: The interior design, crafted by Hilton Design Studio, blends contemporary features with the hotel’s historic elements.
  • Fast-Tracked Schedule: To minimise disruption during the busy tourist season, the project was completed on an accelerated timeline.
  • Enhanced Accessibility: Upgrades included enhanced accessibility, ensuring the hotel meets contemporary standards for all guests, without compromising the building’s historical character.
