Traditional meets modern at The Den

The Den presented a unique challenge: a beautiful townhouse that lacked a cohesive space for the family to gather. Our solution was to design a striking two-story extension that doesn’t complete with the traditional architecture. By staggering the extension’s form and incorporating a large linear rooflight, we allowed natural light to flood the interior, creating a bright, welcoming environment. The new landscaping design enhances the indoor-outdoor connection.

Client’s brief

Our client sought to modernise their home to better suit their family’s evolving needs while maintaining the integrity of its traditional charm. They entrusted us to create a design that would seamlessly blend the old with the new. The key features of the project include:
