The house sits in a beautiful, elevated position overlooking the west coast. The design brief was to maximise the views with family-friendly spaces flowing out onto the west-facing lawn and to create a main bedroom suite at the first-floor level.

Our approach was to mirror the current proportions of the house and create a first-floor walkway link with a triangular feature window. By minimising structural disruption to the existing dwelling, the budget could be managed.

Large open plan living spaces wrap around the landscape at ground floor level offering magnificent views from every angle. Painted timber cladding in grey with white windows and shutters set the scene for a sophisticated Hamptons vibe that continues throughout the interiors.
